Deal with feelings of sadness or worries, drug and alcohol problems or stress.
-
When you need someone to talk to and want to feel better.
-
Get an appointment with a doctor.
-
Get the information you need about behavioral health services.
-

You have behavioral health services available to you.
They include:

Substance use disorder treatment.

Outpatient services such as counseling.

Help with medicines.

Exception to Policy (ETP) RequestProviders must submit a prior authorization request for a service or medication and indicate on the request for an exception to policy (ETP) request. The Medical Director uses the utilization review process to determine if it’s appropriate to submit a request for exception to policy to Iowa Health and Human Services.
For LTSS, if a member requests an ETP, the case manager takes the request to LTSS Rounds, where the Medical Directors and LTSS Leadership discuss the case with the case manager to determine if it is medically necessary.
If during rounds the Medical Director determines it is appropriate to request an ETP, it is then submitted to Iowa Health and Human Services for review. When the outcome is received by Molina, this is then shared with the member and their team and the Person Centered Service Plan is updated.
If during rounds the Medical Director determines an ETP request is not medically necessary, the case manager submits the request to the Medical Director to issue a denial for the request that is not medically necessary. The member will then receive a Notice of Action with appeal rights.
If the ETP is approved the authorization will be updated to the terms specified in the ETP and will not exceed one calendar year.
ETP decisions made by HHS are final and not able to appeal.
