Behavioral Health Resources in Schools

Molina Healthcare understands the importance of mental health, especially for school-aged children. Molina works collaboratively with both school districts and community behavioral health providers to ensure school districts have the resources they need to meet the needs of their students.

Molina works closely with our contracted behavioral health providers who are direct referral source when a specific need is identified. All of Molina’s contracted behavioral health providers are required to accept the AHCCCS School-based Universal Referral Form when students are referred for services. Additionally, all providers must communicate back to their partnering school districts in situations where referred students are transferred to other agencies due to capacity issues.

Schools are encouraged to utilize the AHCCCS School Feedback form to report any barriers and/or successes in attaining behavioral health services for their students.

If you need help or if you have any questions, please call the children’s health care administrator at (480) 435-1401.
